Ellis Park officials say seven people, including six employed by the same trainer at Ellis Park, have tested positive for COVID-19.
Track officials say those six people have all been residing in the same dorm, and another person who worked closely with them also tested positive.
The Green River District Health Department found the positive cases while conducting a mandatory test required by Ellis Park.
Track officials say all the individuals are asymptomatic.
The employees of the barn and trainer are under stay-in-place orders and have been quarantined in the dorm where the outbreak was discovered. One additional person is quarantined in their home.
Ellis Park has been operating its gaming facility since June 8th. The track’s backside operations opened June 10th.
