School Threat Causes Increased Law Enforcement

The North Gibson School Corporation released a statement Wednesday in regards to a threat made towards Princeton Community High School. The statement reads —

“Recently, Princeton Community High School administration received information provided directly to staff about a potential threat of harm by a student at Princeton Community High School. Princeton Community High School administration reported the matter to local law enforcement. Local law enforcement responded quickly to ensure the safety of students, faculty and staff is paramount, and the North Gibson School Corporation has and will continue to take all necessary actions to protect the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Following the recent tragedy at in Marshall County, Kentucky, and prior to this specific issue, North Gibson School Corporation had made the decision to secure an increased law enforcementĀ  presences at our schools. This increased presences went into effect Monday, January 29. We understand there will be questions from parents and our community for further information. Please know the state and federal law restricts our ability as a school district to provide further details about the situation. Lastly, we want to thank the administration at Princeton Community High School and our local authorities for their support in providing a quick response to this matter.”
