An employee with the United States Post Office in Poseyville has tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to the Posey County Health Department, the employee is on strict-isolation orders.
The department has been conducting contract tracing to track down anyone who may have had close contact with the employee.
In a statement released late Monday, Posey County Health Officials say the general public is not at risk, at this time. “There has been no evidence of COVID-19 being spread through or on the mail.”
If you are concerned, officials are urging you to get tested. Hoosiers can get a free test at the Optum testing site in Princeton. You will need to register ahead of time by calling 1-888-634-1116.
