The mother of Taylor Williams, a five-year-old girl missing from Jackson, Florida, is now a person of interest in her disappearance, authorities announced Monday.
Willams was reported missing from her home last Wednesday. An Amber Alert was issued after her mother, Brianna Williams, said she was not in her room when she went to check in on her that morning. She told investigators the back door to her Jacksonville home was unlocked.
According to authorities, it’s been weeks since Williams has been missing for weeks and that are inconsistencies in Brianna’s story.
Tuesday, authorities searching for Williams in Alabama found human remains in a wooded area. Officials are working to identify the body, the Demopolis Police Department said Tuesday.
Police released a photo of a possible car Brianna could be driving. It is described as a 2017 black Honda Accord displaying Florida state license plate tag QNBRI.
As of Monday, Brianna is no longer cooperating with the investigation and hasn’t spoken to authorities since Wednesday.
