A Henderson man is facing an assault charge after striking a woman in the head with a brick. On May 8th, police interviewed 19-year-old Raven Luckett who says she was struck in the head with a brick by 22-year-old A’Davion Cansler.
Luckett told police that she and a passenger in her vehicle were near Nolan’s Liquor when Cansler walked up to her window and struck her in the back of the head.
According to the news release, Luckett was taken to Methodist Hospital, but due to the injury had to be transferred to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
Cansler, who denied any involvement in the assault, was arrested for assault on Tuesday. He is currently lodged in at the Henderson County Detention Center.
Police say this investigation is ongoing.
