Los Angeles Angels’ starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs was found dead in a Dallas Hotel room.
On Monday, emergency responders were called to the Hilton Southlake Townsquare hotel in Dallas for an unconscious man.
Skaggs was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities do not believe foul play was involved in the MLB star’s death.
A first-round draft pick in 2009, Skaggs has been a regular starter since 2016. He pitched, what would be his final game, in front of a home crowd on Saturday.
The team then flew to Dallas and were set to face off with the Texas Ranchers, Monday night. However, the game was postponed after the news of Skaggs death.
Skaggs was a California native and would have been 28 on July 13th.
He married his wife, Carli just seven months ago.
Fans have started laying flowers and other tributes for the player in front of the Angels’ stadium in L.A.
