Inside the Community: Evansville Donut Festival

The Evansville Donut Festival is coming up this month. One of the organizers, Joe Notter, came on 44News This Morning to talk about the big event.

Joe said there are several donut shops in the area and that is just one of many reasons to host this event. Along with delicious food, the event will feature:

– Evansville’s largest long john (10 foot in length)
– doughnut eating contests
– themed tailgate games
– breakfast/brunch items
– Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar will be offered for adults 21+

Evansville’s Donut Festival is Saturday, March 17th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Coliseum downtown.

The event will also help raise money for two new parks. They include Kids Kingdom 2 on the Riverfront and Stop Light City on Evansville’s west side.

During the interview this morning, a couple of officers from EPD joined some staff members of 44News This Morning for a LIVE doughnut eating contest. To find out who won, click the video box below.
