Evansville Boy Scouts Hold “Blast Into Scouting”

3….2…..1….blast off! Tuesday night 115 schools in the tri-state will participate in the “blast into scouting” recruitment event. It is meant to teach parents and kids about the activities cub scouts do throughout the community and then get them signed up.

Cubs scouts do everything from hiking and camping to learning about social media. One cub scout says, others should join in on the fun to make friends and learn important tools.

Cub Scout Nathon Buck says, “So they can learn life skills.” “Life skills like what? what’s one life skill that you learned?” He says, “Like how to make a fire if you’re trapped in the woods.”

The recruitment event is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at your local elementary school. If you can’t make it or for more information, visit visit Boy Scouts.
