A Disney remake of “Home Alone” is on its way! Tuesday, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced plans to reboot the film for its upcoming streaming service, Disney+.
“Home Alone”, which was released in 1990 and starred Macauley Culkin, was a box office success becoming 1990’s highest-grossing film. The success of the film spawned four sequels.
The reboot will premier on Disney’s streaming site along with “Night at the Museum,” “Cheaper by the Dozen” and “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.”
Disney has provided no details about how or when the film will be remade, or who will be cast.
In April, the company unveiled its Disney+ streaming service, which will launch in North America in November.
