The University of Evansville’s Computers in Science and Math project announces receipt of a grant totaling $999,934 from the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics program (S-STEM).
The grant would support students who major in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, environmental science, mathematics, physics, or statistics and data science.
The scholarship funds would provide up to $10,000 per year for four years to seven or eight students.
CiSM students would be a part of an established all-expenses paid bridge course during the summer before freshman year. Summer research funds and academic mentoring would also be provided to CiSM students.
CiSM scholarships will be available at the beginning of the 2020 fall semester.
