Border Patrol Finds Four Bodies Near Texas-Mexico Border

Four bodies were discovered near the Rio Grande River in South Texas on Sunday, in Hidalgo County.

According to officials, two of the bodies were infants and one was a toddler.  The fourth body appeared to be that of a young woman.

The U.S.  Customs and Border Protection calls the Rio Grande Valley Sector the busiest span of the border between the U.S. and Mexico, saying it “accounts for more than 40% of illegal alien apprehensions”.

According to the Hidalgo County Sheriff, the bodies were found southeast of the Anzalduas Park in Las Paloma Wildlife Management Area.

He said deputies were awaiting FBI agents to lead the investigation.
