An Indiana man is set to be extradited to Alaska for his role in the murder of an Alaska teen. Darin Schilmiller of New Salisbury posed as a millionaire named “Tyler” online and offered 18-year-old Denali Brehmer $9 million or more to rape and murder someone in Alaska.
Police located Cynthia “CeeCee” Hoffman bound with duct tape in the Eklutna River near Thunderbird Falls. She had also been shot in the back of the head.
Brehmer told police she and Kayden McIntosh, 16, took Hoffman to the Anchorage Trail on June 2nd.
According to court documents, McIntosh took a gun from Brehmer, shot Hoffman and pushed her into the river. Police say Brehmer and McIntosh drove to a park, burned Hoffman’s purse, the gun, and other items.
Brehmer was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Hoffman. McIntosh is charged as an adult with first-degree murder and evidence tampering. Another adult, male and female juveniles were charged with conspiracy in the case.
Additionally, police found explicit photos and text messages during a search of Brehmer’s phone. Brehmer says she shot videos of a girl who was under the age of 10 and another who is 15.
Those videos were sent to Schilmiller which was a part of their deal.
Brehmer and Schilmiller were indicted on child pornography charges on June 18th.
