3rd Annual Franklin Street Gumbo Cook-Off

Franklin Street was busy for its annual gumbo cook-off on Saturday.

The event is in its third year and challenges cooks to make their best recipe of gumbo.

Several booths were set up along Franklin Street selling the cajun specialty.

“Thyme in the Kitchen” was awarded best gumbo for the third year in a row.

The event raised over $12,000 in wristband sales alone.
