If you’re out and about today, the winter conditions are causing slick and hazardous roadways. Kentucky State Trooper Corey King and Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding joined 44News This Morning by phone to talk about winter conditions.
Tpr. King says drivers should be driving no faster than 35 miles per hour on the roads. He also says if you have to be out driving to use caution because the mix of ice, snow and freezing rain is causing slick road conditions.
44News also spoke to Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding who says drivers should stay home if they don’t need to be out and about this morning.
Sheriff Wedding says there have been several reported accidents, mostly in the northern part of the county, due to these winter road conditions.
