The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is among those busy prepping for this winter storm. Crews have been filling their trucks with salt and plan on heading out on the roads at 3 a.m.
Crews say they’re as prepared as the can be, but were not able to pre-treat the roads because today’s rain would have washed it away.
Keith Todd with KYTC said, “They’re loading the trucks now so that when they come in at about 3 am we think they’ll just be able to put the key in the ignition and drive out of the shop and go hit the road to try and help improve travel. Driving on the snow and ice there are three key things things: Slow Down, slow down. and slow down.”
If you have to be out and about throughout the day tomorrow – use caution.
