We had flash flooding and numerous t’storms this morning, especially to the north of 64. The flooding is continuing in the area, but conditions continue to improve as we see a bit of a break mid-morning. We can see more showers and storms bubble up this afternoon with winds and hail being the primary concern. We are in a marginal risk for severe weather, and isolated severe can’t be ruled out.
With temps in the 60s and 70s mid morning, we will see cooler high temps today in our Northern counties. The highs should be in the upper 70s and low 80s.These cooler temps are due to the rain cooled air. Otherwise, we are currently seeing upper 70s and low 80s in some of our southern counties. With highs in our southern counties in the mid to upper 80s and near 90.
Tonight a few showers and storms and overnight lows near 70. Isolated storms on Wednesday possible and just a slight chance of storms Thursday through the weekend.The heat will be a big weather factor this weekend. Heat index values this weekend will peak around 100 degrees each afternoon.
