The Owensboro Board of Commissioners held a special meeting to talk money.
City leaders went over the proposed yearly budget on Tuesday, and they approved it.
They were discussing the more than $1,000,000 municipal road fund, and the use of the $50,000 Local Government Assistant fund.
Individuals who were unable to attend the meeting were allowed to send in written comments, an in the end the budget was passed on the second reading.
Mayor Watson explained that there was a lot of public input about the spending plan, particularly about a planning and zoning issue. These issues involve building on a dead end street that was rezoned for professional space.
