The World Health Organization says oral sex is producing a dangerous strain of Gonorrhea and a decline in condom use is helping it spread.
Officials say Gonorrhea is rapidly developing resistance to antibiotics and now it is harder to treat and in some documented cases it is impossible to treat.
The U.N. Health Agency looked at data from nearly 80 countries, discovering Gonorrhea’s resistance to antibiotics is widespread.
W.H.O officials calling the situation “fairly grim” as there are few drugs on the horizon to treat it.
The U.N. Health Agency is calling on countries to monitor the spread of the bacteria and invest money into research and development on new drugs to treat it.
