Looking at the radar trends over the past hour & the latest high-resolution models, expanded 1-2″ amounts westward well into our southern Illinois counties with the 2-4″ line now as far west as Route 1 in Illinois. Best potential of +4″ amounts Hopkins to Martin counties & perhaps in a narrow, meso-scale band near Route 1 in White, Gallatin, Wabash counties. Less than 1″ still likely Clay, part of Wayne, Richland counties.
Transition to snow will continue rapidly eastward over the next few hours.
Blowing & drifting snow will be an issue through the day & into tonight.
Some scattered flurries & snow showers are possible tonight into part of Saturday (part of a lake effect band, believe it or not!)
