Kentucky ranks among one of the least educated states in the country. It ranks 45th out of 50. In this study, WalletHub examined key factors, including educational attainment, school quality, and achievement gaps between genders and races.
The data ranges from share of adults aged 25 and older with at least a high school diploma to average university quality to gender gap in educational attainment.
Illinois ranks among one of the most educated states. It ranks 13th and Indiana is ranked 38th.
The top 10 most educated states include Massachusetts, Maryland, Connecticut, Vermont, Colorado, Virginia, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Washington, and New Jersey.
Some of the least educated states include Tennessee, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
