In this week’s edition of What The Community Has To Say, John Blair, talks about how Republicans and Democrats alike to stand up and condemn President Trump’s rhetoric and actions. This segment aired on Sunday, November 12th.
What a year it’s been. Hurricanes and wildfires changed America’s landscape while our President ignored science and actually acted to exacerbate the problem. Healthcare is now in chaos and no end in sight. Mass shootings, killing ever increasing numbers are accepted due to the NRA’s interpretation of the Second Amendment. Foreign dictators are embraced and allies insulted by a President who cares not who he offends.
I would hope that all Americans would stand up to condemn these transgressions but I hear silence from republicans and some democrats who are fearful Trump will attack them personally like he has often done in the recent past.
I want to hear officials like Lloyd Winnecke, Cheryl Musgrave, Bruce Ungethiem, Eric Holcomb, Mitch McConnell and even local city council republicans condemn the rhetoric and actions of this rogue president, who cares only for his own self interests and not the interests of the United States of America. Their silence shows complicity and agreement in the President’s action and rhetoric.
Why is it so many of our supposed leaders lack the courage to stand up against the authoritarian tendencies and the absolute chaos our President and his cronies have brought to our world.
I am John Blair and that is what I have to ask.
