As of 11 am we are in the 80s around the Tri-State area. As high pressure builds, we will remain in a warm sector, bringing above average temps for your Mother’s Day Weekend.
A lake wind advisory continues until 8 PM tonight, as gusts of over 30 mph are possible.
We tied a record of 88 yesterday at EVV, and can continue to see near record to record warmth through the weekend. Highs in the upper 80s and low 90s through the weekend. The dew point temps will continue to increase, expect hot and humid conditions..especially on Sunday. We will have warm overnight lows in the mid 60s to near 70 through the weekend.
We can see an isolated t’storm or two this weekend, especially on Sunday as a back door cold front dips into our area and a few strong storms, mainly in our NE counties, can’t be ruled out.
Next week 90s and 80s and plan for a hot, wet week. We can see a continued chance of showers and t’storms daily next week.
