Our big weather story for this weekend will be the HEAT! A heat advisory is in effect from 10 AM Friday until 8 PM CDT Saturday. Our highs will be in the 90s on Friday and Saturday and with dew points in the 70s our peak heat index readings will be from 105-110 degrees. This can lead to an increased risk of heat-related illness. Make sure to stay hydrated through the weekend.
Through the weekend, especially with daytime heating we can see showers and t’storms bubble up, but we are only looking at isolated, around 20% coverage. Overnight lows through the weekend will be in the 70s.
As we look forward into next week, we continue to see highs in the 90s with a continued to chance of showers and thunderstorms through early next week.
