Highs today in the 50s and 60s. A few areas of rain continue today with breaks, but we will see our next batch of heavy rain make it’s way in late tonight, with overnight lows in the 40s and 50s.
We have seen 3.70″ of rain in Evansville in the past 48 hours and 2.20″ in Owensboro in the past 24 hours. Some areas of Kentucky have seen over 5″ of rain thus far. We can see an additional 2-5 inches of rain by Sunday morning.
Along with rising rivers, and flooding concerns….Saturday, we see a severe weather threat during the afternoon and evening hours. Tornadoes and winds will be the primary concern as this system moves through. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid to upper 60s. We will finally see things taper off by Sunday morning with skies clearing and temps in the mid 50s.
