The City of Evansville is kicking off its summer hiring blitz at the February Traveling City Hall meeting. The meeting will be held on February 28th from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the CK Newsome Community Center.
Applications will be available and can be completed and submitted at the meeting. Mayor Lloyd Winnecke will demonstrate how to find job vacancies and search for jobs on the city’s website.
Every summer, the City provides seasonal work opportunities at city-maintained facilities, including Mesker Park Zoo, Hartke Pool, and Swonder Ice Arena, along with several golf courses and parks.
Evansville is in need of summer camp counselors to supervise children between six and 12 years of age at Swonder Ice Arena. It’s also looking to fill several playground leader positions for the Summer Adventures Too program offered at elementary schools.
