A notoriously stinky area of Evansville is now undergoing construction in an effort to remove the smell of sewage. Crews are now cutting down trees in the area around Bee Slough. The nasty smell near Bee Slough is something nearby residents say they have been living with for years. Now, crews are starting a project to remove sewage from the slough, removing trees near the same residents and changing the landscape. Residents talk about how they are adapting to the changes. This is a $13 million project to remove the sewage from Bee Slough in Evansville. Residents who live along Veterans Parkway, which is where bee slough runs, say the famous smell is horrible.
