After below average temps for most of April, we are ending with average temps, and starting off May above average. High pressure is centered to the southeast of the region, setting us up for dry, sunny conditions.
Highs today will be in the 70s with plenty of sunshine. We see the warm air continue… with hotter temps on Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs in the 80s for both days. The ridge will break down and move east, which will allow for insatiability across the region.
Wednesday, a few showers possible with temps in the 80s. Thursday and Friday with the passing of a front and a low pressure system we can see thunderstorms and showers develop, and can’t rule out a few strong storms.
