Freezing rain will change to sleet, then period of snow over area with this winter weather event tonight-tomorrow.
Winds will be strong & gusty for the duration from the north to north-northeast to north-northwest at 15-35 mph.
Some dead branches & snags will come down, along with a few live branches (mainly off of Eastern White Pine & Silver Maple & perhaps Bradford Pear) given the ice. A couple to few localized power outages are possible given the duration of the gusty winds & glaze accumulations.
With the snow atop the glassy/solid mantle of ice (glaze & sleet), it will blow around & drift about, especially over east-west roads, even amounts of 1″ or less.
Road temperatures are warm now, but with temperatures falling into the 20s, ice & snow will accumulate with time. At first, ice will only occur on elevated surfaces, but that will change pretty rapidly.
Any snowfall will end Friday late evening-night. Some scattered flurries & snow showers are possible Saturday with localized dustings possible. Given the wind, areas of blowing & drifting are still possible. Highs will run 22-28. Winds will be northwesterly, so it would be the east to west roads that would tend to see more snow blow across them.
